Technology is, quite simply....

...a tool to facilitate and augment tried and true business principals. In an optimal situation, technology becomes largely invisible to the end user over a relatively short time. Think of technology in terms of your automobile. If it is working properly, you don't have to worry about it on a daily basis, aside from keeping a regular maintenance schedule. A well-maintained automobile, like a properly designed technology solution, makes your life easier and more efficient each and every day. If the tool that facilitates your business process demands too much of the attention of its users, then it is ineffective.

The Solution Must Fit the Business

It is absolutely essential that the strategy and products selected for a company fit the company. If they do not, in the best case, the solution is inefficient and ineffective. In the worst case, time, effort and money are completely wasted, and the end result is worse than it was before the process began.

No software or hardware manufacturer can claim that they have the "best solution available for your business today" without first having some knowledge of your business and the people who make it run. A staggering number of new technology implementations fail completely because they are poorly matched with the company involved, or because end users resist change.

Proven Technologies are More Effective than Emerging Technologies

While there will always be a temptation to adopt the latest and greatest technologies, it's not always the best idea to do so. Software companies emphasize all of the new features and benefits of new products, often dismissing old tools as antiquated.

There is a delicate balance between taking advantage of new tools and their features and the use of proven, time-tested, stable technologies. Acapella Technologies will always err of the side of stability and reliability, rather than implementing the "latest and greatest" solution for its own sake.
